About the event
Yoga is a practice.
With regularity, and consistency in whatever that practice looks like for you, you welcome in its healing benefits.
You brush your teeth everyday (or so we assume), so why wouldn't you nurture your body, breath and spirit with the same consistency?
Yoga is not something 'we do'. It is who we are.
It reconnects us to our true selves. The practice of yoga peels off all these layers of our
being; the roles you play in this life, the titles you have, the obligations you hold, all of it washes away in your practice so you can find YOU
Do you feel like you are journeying through life in a state of high velocity? Of constant doing? Unable to find the reset button? Maybe you notice a physical pain in the body, or an emotional imbalance, or maybe its as subtle as falling asleep in front of the TV at night. These are symptomatic of an overdriven and depleted nervous system. Fascial Yin is a tool to help bring you back to yourself, your true self, while nurturing the parasympathetic system into a state of better balance.
Fascia is the largest sensory organ in our bodies, and acts as a messenger to all of our cells.
Fascial Yin allows us to restore. When the body is stressed, our fascial fluids dry out, making physical movement restricted, and energetic movement stuck. Through the slow and mindful movement of our yin practice, we settle into these shapes for longer time, allowing our fascia to rehydrate bringing fluidity back allowing for more physical mobility, while also balancing out the nervous system ~ The only way to heal it, is to feel it (John Barnes)
