Registered Psychotherapist
Owner of CCP

Carly founded Carly Crawford Psychotherapy over 10 years ago (formally Find Your Voice Counselling). As of July 2020, Carly is pleased to finally be able to have a space to provide MORE care to the community.

As a therapist mainly practice from a trauma informed, humanistic and feminist lens. I understand the importance of providing care that is based on the client's best interest, readiness and safety.

We all provide free 15 minute consults and agree to get back to client requests in a timely manner.

About Carly

As a Registered Psychotherapist my clinical training is focussed around providing evidenced based care for a variety of life's challenges. I have pursued training in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family Based Treatment for Eating Disorders, Emotion Focussed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and  extensive Trauma Informed approaches to care. As a Psychotherapist my work is based on providing clinical interventions that help my clients to grow a deeper understanding of themselves along with developing skills to face life's challenges.

Completing my Graduate studies in Clinical Behavioural Sciences along with various specialized diplomas in Addictions and Family and Couples therapy helped me gain clarity in an approach to therapy that is based on equal parts evidence and lived experience. More recently I have pursued more training in supervision and I am passionate about supporting therapists in the field so that they can have a longer and more successful time doing this hard work.

I have sat on various boards and worked in Mental Health Advocacy for more than ten years and I see the need that people have to receive timely and appropriate care. The decision to work in the for profit industry comes from the experiences and frustrations with the lack of understanding and availability of care in our more traditional and OHIP covered facilitates. Our long term goal here at CCP is to develop programming and scholarship programs to make accessing these life saving services easier.
